Well the site is now live. Some issues still need to be cleaned up so if you see anything change over the next few weeks or if something breaks that may just be me working on it.
The holiday season is almost in the books. Of course for me the holiday season does not end with the new year since I am a January baby. Got a iPad for Christmas, been looking forward to that for some time. Since I don’t have a smartphone and taking the laptop was not an option at some places I did feel kind of out of the loop so yay, I am now back and connected most of the time. Don’t know if that is a good thing or not.
Took in the first day of the McCaskey holiday tournament. York High looked about as bad as they could look against Oxon Hill. Don’t know if it was rust or they were just bad that night. They did beat McCaskey pretty good the next night. I also took in the first day of the F&M Sponaugle Tournament. F&M did not exactly invite the most challenging field around. I think that the other three teams had fewer wins combined than F&M did. Hartwick and Delaware Valley was a close game. Hartwick led all of the way until the end when Delaware Valley pulled it out. F&M had some trouble with Randolph but opened it up in the second half. They have some good players but it doesn’t look like they have much in the way of a post presence and that will hurt them.
While I didn’t go down to Lexington to see the game, York won their holiday tournament beating the #2 team in the land in Middlebury College and then the host Washington and Lee both in OT. Not bad.
Made the final brewery visits of the year. Stopped at Rumspringa between Bird-in-Hand and Intercourse and Iron Hill in Lancaster. Rumspringa started bottling 12 oz. bottles so to get them in the beer bottle collection I needed to make a visit. Iron Hill is across from F&M so I stopped in before the game. I see they are canning their beer now. That’s great since I like several of their offerings.
