Woodlawn Cemetery, Zanesville
In a way this is where my cemetery hunting started. I was coming back from Lancaster, Ohio and went to Zanesville to get to I-70. Since I had time to kill that day I looked to see if there was anything to do in Zanesville. There wasn’t. So then I looked to see if anyone famous was buried there. I have stood next to the spot where Charles Hazlett was killed at Gettysburg so when I saw his named I looked where the cemetery was and it was right next to the road I would be coming into town on. I had no idea where he was in the cemetery and don’t ask me how but I found his and his brother’s grave. His brother was killed at Stone’s River.
