The World Needs More Kevin

This Week in Kevin

Not quite going insane yet. Been binge watching my favorite Canadian TV show, Corner Gas. I do that once or twice a year so it fits right in to my usual schedule. I can’t watch TV otherwise. It’s all CCP Virus all the time and one can only take so much of that. The cats of course are enjoying all of the time with their human. I wonder if all of this play fighting and chasing each other is what they normally do when I am not home. I am getting some good sleep in too since the only reason I get out of bed before 8 is either to go to the bathroom or because the cats are hungry.

Spent Monday chauffeuring my dad around to the grocery store, the bank and more. So at least I got out of the house and I did get dinner out of it too. Passed some time with the Idle Miner Tycoon Event Mine which started on Monday night. Completed it in 16 hours and that included 8 hours sleeping. I will say that I have been getting a lot of sleep during this period at least.

Also finished up Champion Hill Tuesday night. Next up is Ron White’s American Ulysses about U.S. Grant. We’ll see how long this one takes. I read a similar sized one about Sherman a few years ago and it took awhile but then I just read it going to Orioles and Nationals games. I am going to guess that this will take longer than a week but we’ll see. Champion Hill was a fairly easy read but some of the minutia gets tedious after awhile. I am looking forward to visiting the battlefield one day. Won’t be this year obviously but with the Mississippi Braves nearby my baseball addiction can be fed as well.

Baseball this week would not have been quite as bad as I only planned on attending games on the weekend. I would have taken in my first Nationals and Phillies games of the year. What can you do? I could have shown up but what is the point in that. It’s not like the breweries by Nationals Park would even be open. At least traffic going into DC wouldn’t be bad.

I did get out of the house on Friday to do my first grass cutting of the year. It was nice to breathe some fresh air and get some exercise. And other than that I didn’t leave the house except to go to the grocery store. Yep, this sucks. At least I don’t have it (as far as I know).
