Goat Path Expressway

At one point there was an expressway to be built linking Lancaster and Pottstown. The beginning was constructed in Lancaster and some ground was leveled several miles to the northeast of the city. A few bridges were also constructed but then funding was cut. Guess a politician thought about what the economic benefit of linking Lancaster and Pottstown were and couldn’t think of a good reason. So today there is highway graded land outside of Lancaster with one expressway size bridge overtop of rural roads that sit abandoned. The leveled ground is used for grazing and hence the nickname Goat Path Expressway. One day I decided to go over across the Susquehanna and check it out.
