The first time I came up here was for opening day in 2012. I had attended the Morning Game in Reading and then drove up through Coal Country in Pennsylvania and got here with plenty of time. Williamsport is more known for the Little League World Series than their pro team. I’ve been coming back for at least one game a year since. The stadium had a massive renovation prior to the 2017 season and they did a great job.
US 15 and then through town via 4th St.
It used to be really cheap, $5 could get you in for a general admission seat. More recently after the renovation prices were upped to $8. Still a good deal.
The seating area is well marked and it is easy to find your seat. Of course before most of the park was general admission so you could sit where you wanted to. There is not a lot of frills here, this is one of the oldest parks in use in professional baseball. They do offer the normal stadium fare and compared to normal prices it is actually quite cheap. They do also sell a delicious milk shake as well.
This is a community event. There is not much else to do in the summer it seems in Williamsport so the locals cheer very hard for their team. They even have a song every time an opposing batter strikes out. There is an on-field host, he does most of his stuff pre-game.
This is easier than getting in. US 15 has a southbound on-ramp just down the street from the park. Can’t get too much easier than this.
If Williamsport was about 30 minutes closer to me I would probably come here more often. It is usually a very pleasant drive up the Susquehanna, though 15 around Selinsgrove can be a little busy but I found a way around that. I’ll be back especially with the renovation that was done.
