Being from York the Lancaster Barnstormers are the enemy. That being said, it is about 25 minutes from my house and offers a relatively inexpensive night out so there is that, plus I can potentially watch the Revolution play on the road.
US 30 to the Harrisburg Pike. Parking is in numerous lots in the area offer free parking. Get there early to park close though.
$8 can get you a lawn seat and $12 can get you an actual seat. While I like sitting in the lawn area those benches do get hard after awhile. The big score for me here is on Mondays or Tuesdays when they have all-you-can eat picnics in the right field party area. I get my money’s worth that night, that’s for sure.
Not hard to find the seat. For the most part even if you sit in the wrong area no one will care and you can easily find somewhere empty.
The former on-field host, Mr. I.M. Fun I found to be annoying. He spoke so high pitched and so fast I couldn’t understand what he was saying. He left and was replaced by someone younger who is much easier to understand. They have the usual entertainment for the most part. Last year when I came there was a guy who sat behind the visitor’s dugout and played a slide whistle. He thought he was hilarious, the players not so much.
Not hard to get back to the Harrisburg Pike and home though on fireworks night if you do not want to stay for the show leave before the end of the 8th.
If the York Revolution did not exist I would come over here a lot more but I can see all the same teams and players in York so I don’t. I did see Tracy McGrady when he pitched for the Sugar Land Skeeters. He didn’t pitch but was walking around. It was easy to spot him.
