I make a yearly trip down here, mostly just to get my Oriole Passport stamped so I can have a chance to go to Spring Training for free. Haven’t won yet. I’ve been here for just about every kind of game, day, night, weekend, hot and cold. I’m not a fan of the place but there is just enough to do in the Tidewater to keep me coming back.
I-64 down the Peninsula and across Hampton Roads. Sometimes I cut through the city to visit O’Connor Brewing and sometimes I just continue around the beltway.
$12 gets you a good seat. They do not draw well here but there is usually a pretty good military presence here so that bumps attendance.
Easy to find the seat. They have the usual amenities and food with a few local places worked in. There is also a restaurant out in right field too.
They have the usual in game experience. Nothing really stands out.
Not too hard if you know where you are going. The highway is right by the stadium but you have to head towards downtown to get on. There are signs that direct you though which makes it easier.
This park is similar to the park in Syracuse and if they were not an Oriole affiliate and the parent club did not run the Passport program I would probably not come back every year. As a Civil War enthusiast there is still stuff to see here but I’m crossing things off the list. A visit to the Mariner’s Museum is a must!
